The northest island of the country, Thassos is situated opposite the gulf of Kavala, from which it was probably cut off some million years ago, at a distance of 14 miles from it. Beautifully covered in total carpet consisted by pine trees, oak trees and olive trees interrupted only by color fields and finishing in friendly, sandy beaches. With the richest of soils it is one of the richest greek islands regarding flora and the source of the whitest marble in the world. A tourist center after the late 70's now it has developed into a steady value in the tourism market. Pristine, tranquil and more then interesting, Thassos has something to offer to each one of its visitors.

Possidon is a family run hotel in the center of Limenas. A few meters from the waterfront and around 300 meters from the nearest beach is the right spot to start your excursions through the island. With a capacity of 30 beds in 16 rooms, half enjoying orange sunsets, with private baths, balconies, TV sets, and air-conditioning, fridge and a vault, furnished in a cozy, comfortable manner, a lounge, a colorful roof-garden bar and internet access it can be any assistance for all needs that may occur during your stay.
